Aluminum scrap contains heavy non-ferrous metals such as copper etc.These metals were seriously polluted by oil stain,so it’s relatively difficult to sort heavy non-ferrous metal from aluminum scrap with artificial separation. From the information reported in home and abroad, the research program mainly focuses on the following aspects:
一、Heavy-medium beneficiation approach
That is to use heavy-medium re-select approach to sort copper and other heavy non-ferrous metals whose density is greater than that of aluminum. It based on the principle that density of aluminum is smaller than other heavy non-ferrous metals so makes scrap float on the medium, and heavy non-ferrous metals sink at bottom so as to achieve the purpose of separation. However, the key technology is to select the medium with a density greater than aluminum and less than copper,this medium is not water or other kind of liquid, say for sure that is a kind of fluid. Fluid is doing advance and return movement during working process,aluminum scrap then floating above the medium and was separated.
二、Tossing beneficiation approach
Based on the principle that the fall points of various objects with more or less the same volume are different when thrown with the same force, various waste non-ferrous metals with different densities in mixed aluminum scrap can be separated.When throw different densities while basically the same volume objects along straight line with the same force, various objects move along parabola directions,fall points are different when fall to the ground . The simplest experiment can be carried out on the horizontal conveyor belt, when mixed waste on conveyor belt run up with conveyor belt and when running to the end, mixed aluminum scrap were thrown out along a straight line, various kinds of waste fall to the ground at different points as a result of gravity is different of various waste, so as to achieve miscellaneous aluminum scrap sorting purpose. Such approach can enable aluminum scrap, copper scrap, lead scrap and and other scraps separate evenly. Equipment made on this principle has been used abroad and it remains in research stage at home.
